Biography
Associate Professor Marinis Pirpiris is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a distinguished record in both clinical practice and academic research. He consults at Epworth Richmond, Cabrini Medical Centre Malvern, and Epworth Eastern Box Hill, and holds an academic appointment as Associate Professor at Monash University.
A/Prof. Pirpiris brings subspecialty expertise across three clinical areas: hip and knee reconstruction (including total joint replacement, revision surgery, and minimally invasive arthroscopy), sports medicine, and paediatric orthopaedics (with particular expertise in cerebral palsy, gait analysis, foot deformities, and elbow injuries). His practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine and a commitment to individualised, patient-centred care.
He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at national and international conferences. He is a past recipient of multiple best-paper awards and has delivered invited lectures in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Greece, and Japan.
